| The Krimmel waterfalls are a simply wonderful day out. You have to be fit to walk up the mountain paths but it's well worth the effort. |

Train to the top |
| In St Wolfgang, 5 minutes from the Chalet, you can take the train to the top of the mountain overlooking the lake. |
The Top of the World |
| Forget the London Eye this really is a view. The train takes about 45 minutes to reach the top where you can see for miles. |
Learn to sail |
| Lakes are great places to learn to sail. This is the view from Gilgen looking towards Strobl. |
Paragliding - Tandem Flights |
| If you have ever thought paragliding looked like fun why not try a tandem flight. This is a unique flying experience! It costs around Euro 120 and takes place above the Wolfgangsee at St Gilgen (about 10 minutes from the Chalet). You go up the mountain in the cable car at St Gilgen, the whole experience takes about 1 and half hours with the actual flight taking 10 to 20 minutes. You can extend the flight part in 5 minute units for an extra 5 euros per unit of time. There are lot of places to tandem paraglide but few match this location and none will better it. |
